Your First Visit
When you first arrive expect to be greeted with a warm smile and made to feel welcome by a member of our team who genuinely cares that you have an excellent experience in our office. You will be given a tour of our centre to familiarise you with the features of our Forestville chiropractic practice and then you will be asked to complete a detailed confidential health questionnaire.
Consultation and Examination
As soon as possible you will be introduced to our family chiropractor, Dr Keith Farrugia. He will give you a thorough consultation and a focused examination which includes postural assessment, spinal range of motion, and important chiropractic and neurological tests.
X-rays
X-rays may be requested as a safety precaution to help us rule out fractures, tumors, infection and congenital anomalies. These pictures also act as blueprints of your spine and will help us detect any abnormal curves and accelerated degeneration.
No adjustments will be given on your first visit. In unique situations, and in the professional judgment of our Forestville chiropractor, we occasionally make exceptions. After your consultation a report visit will be scheduled with you to discuss the results from your initial assessment and explain how we can help you resolve your health challenges.
Your initial visit may take up to one hour.
Your Second Visit
On your second visit your chiropractor will review your findings with you and give you specific recommendations to help you actively participate in the recovery of your health. You will also be given a personalised report folder, which summarises this information. It is highly recommended that your spouse or partner be present with you during your report so they can understand the depth of your findings and support you in your recovery.
Chiropractic Adjustments
If you qualify for chiropractic care and you decide to commence care we can do so on this second visit. Prepare to spend approximately 45 minutes in our office for your second visit.
Your Third Visit
Your third visit will be scheduled the day following your report visit and first adjustment. Your chiropractor will give you a follow-up adjustment and then discuss a chiropractic care plan with you. On this visit your chiropractor will discuss your main health goals and present chiropractic recommendations for you. Your corrective care plan will outline frequency of visits over a specified period of time as well as your financial investment.
A Typical Office Visit
Each time you arrive for your adjustment, you’ll check in at the front desk and have a seat in the reception area until you are directed to an adjusting room by the front desk chiropractic assistant. Your chiropractor will be with you shortly after that.
Our centre is a zone of positive thinking for wellness and healing. We encourage you to take this opportunity to relax on the table and take a moment to think of something for which you are grateful.
Once your chiropractor learns your spine, your adjustments will take only a few minutes and be very focused. Our semi-open adjusting environment allows you to receive your care quickly and efficiently with minimal waiting. If you ever need to speak with your chiropractor privately please inform our chiropractic assistant and we will gladly accommodate you.
At pre-determined times, progress checks will be conducted. Be prepared to spend an extra 15 minutes on these visits.
